About PPAI's 2024 Membership Restructure
The new membership structure empowers PPAI members with choice. No longer will a member’s reported annual sales revenue dictate their membership tier.
With a focus on simplicity and aligning benefits and value, the new membership structure moves all member categories (Distributor, Supplier and Business Service) from a complex 16-tier structure into a straightforward 5-tier structure with clear benefits and cost. In addition, PPAI is introducing understandable and recognizable membership tier names.

PPAI's new structure to gives members the power of choice, better aligns benefits and value, and simplifies an overly complex system while also providing meaningful, understandable and recognizable membership tiers.
Choice: The new structure provides members the opportunity to choose the tier that aligns best with their business needs, supports the engagement level they want with PPAI and the community, and provides the value they seek from PPAI.
Aligning Benefits and Value: The intent is to align the benefits in each tier with the needs of the average company within the recommended (not required) annual sales volume range. This will ensure fairness across our membership base by elevating the benefits and value that progressively align with the investment at each tier.
Simplification: PPAI recognized most members were unaware of both their membership tier as well as the full scope of benefits available to them. Moving from a 16-tier structure with a complicated fee calculation to a 5-tier structure with clear and concise pricing provides an easily understandable structure with a modern, recognizable approach to tiers.
Within the new membership structure there are three components: Category, Type and Tier.
Membership categories are not changing, they will remain Distributor, Supplier and Business Services. This is the only part of the structure that won’t provide choice, as a member’s category is based on business structure and meeting the required qualifications.
Within the updated structure, each member category has two membership types to choose from: Standard and Professional. Standard membership has two tiers (Base and Plus) to choose from and Professional membership provides three tier choices (Silver, Gold and Platinum).
Standard memberships (Base and Plus) provide a basic level of resources and support suitable for industry companies with less than $1 million in annual sales volume. Companies at these tiers are most likely only ready to utilize a few of the benefits PPAI provides.
Professional membership tiers (Silver, Gold and Platinum) are designed to provide a higher level of support to help a company elevate its business and develop its employees. The enhanced level of benefits and engagement opportunities within the Professional tiers is recommended for companies of any size that are ready to invest in their future.
Your current membership will smoothly shift to your corresponding new tier upon renewal. You can expect to receive a detailed email outlining the benefits and pricing of your new tier at least 30 days before renewal, giving you the flexibility to opt for a different benefit level if desired.
